Cockpit 3.0: A Configurable Command Center for Docked Drone Operations

Every drone operation has a different visual priority. Security monitoring wants the video front and center. Inspection work needs the map and the feed together. Previous cockpit layouts gave you one arrangement for everything.

Cockpit 3.0 is a configurable workspace. The map, live video, telemetry, instruments, and controls are all movable and configurable as per the pilot — resize panels, float windows anywhere on screen, swap what's in the spotlight. Set it up once; it persists across sessions and devices. This is the command center for single-drone docked operations.

Enabling Cockpit 3.0

To enable Cockpit 3.0, go to Platform Settings, select General, scroll down to Cockpit version, and select Cockpit 3.0 from the drop-down menu.

What's in Cockpit 3.0

Device Picker

Cockpit 3.0 allows operators to search for the Dock-Drone they wish to control and monitor using a Device Picker tab. Within the Device Picker drop-down, each card shows Device status (offline/online/active), Site, battery, latency, speed, altitude, and RTK/GPS fix — before you enter the cockpit for the specific Dock-Drone. You can filter by Site or search by name. Active and Armed drones are automatically moved to the top of the list.

Configurable Layout

Cockpit 3.0 introduces a dedicated View Mode switcher with three distinct modes, and each mode independently saves its own layout so your arrangement is always waiting for you when you switch back.

Cockpit Layout Mode

Within each Mode, the floating panels can be moved and resized. In Split view, swap the positions of the Map, Video, and Feeds panels using Edit Layout. Moreover, any camera feed can be set to primary by selecting the Swap to Primary button.

Video and Cameras

FPV, Payload, and Dock feeds can now be viewed simultaneously. On the Payload feed, users can switch between wide, zoom, and thermal lenses using the lens switcher. The active lens and zoom level are shown as a badge on the video

Payload Controls in Spilt View

Photo capture and video recording are supported, including Single, Panorama, and Night Light modes. A storage indicator displays remaining capacity, and the video border flashes to confirm each capture.

Payload accessories, including the Speaker, Spotlight, and gas sensor, can be controlled directly from the video interface.

A Video Status chip indicates stream health as OK, Degraded, Bad, or Lost, with additional details for latency, bitrate, resolution, and freeze time.

Flight Actions

Cockpit 3.0 brings the main flight actions into the same operating screen. Operators can launch Path and Grid Missions, send the drone to a Go To Location, use Point of Interest on supported Dock 3 setups, and create repeatable routes through Live Mission Recording.

Mission workflows let operators browse, filter, launch, and resume planned missions from inside Cockpit.

Go To Location lets operators send the drone to a selected point on the map or to entered coordinates, with configurable altitude and speed values.

Point of Interest, available on supported Dock 3 operations, lets the drone orbit a selected point while keeping the camera focused on it.

Live Mission Recording lets operators fly manually and capture waypoints during the flight. The recorded path can then be saved as a repeatable mission for future use.

Together, these workflows make Cockpit 3.0 more than a viewing screen. It becomes the place where operators can monitor, decide, and act.

Manual Controls and Key Bindings

Cockpit 3.0 gives operators more flexibility in how they control the drone and payload.

Keyboard controls, gamepad inputs, and Thrustmaster joystick controls can be mapped based on user preference. Operators can configure movement controls, gimbal controls, camera actions, zoom, lens switching, and safety commands in a way that matches their operating style.

For added control safety, external attached peripheral input can also be disabled. When this is turned on, commands from connected keyboard, gamepad, or Thrustmaster devices do not reach the drone for drone control or payload control.

A built-in 3D flight simulator in the Key Bindings screen lets you test any control configuration — including remaps — before it reaches a real drone.

Alarms and Live Mission Recorder

Alarms: external alarms from connected sensors appear in a dedicated panel with source, severity (Low/Medium/High), and response type. Send a drone to respond manually — select the drone, review the action, launch — without leaving the cockpit.

Live Mission Recording is built in: fly manually and capture waypoints as you go to create a repeatable mission without separate planning.

Settings, Dock Control, and Guest Sharing

Cockpit 3.0 also reduces the need to move between different parts of the platform during an active operation.

Device Settings, Device Maintenance, and Platform Settings that were earlier managed from separate tabs can now be accessed directly from inside Cockpit.

Operator preferences: Language, Units, Sound Notifications (per alert type), Manual Control sensitivity, Key Bindings can be configured.

Device settings: RTH/GTSA/Max altitudes, Max distance, Collision Avoidance, GTL defaults, AI recording trigger, and media/streaming behavior.

Dock Overview and Remote Maintenance: live dock status (GPS/RTK, temperature, humidity, HVAC, wind, power, network) and direct hardware controls (enclosure, charging rods, heater/cooler, silent mode, RTK calibration, storage, restart) — with safety locks when the drone is armed.

Guest share: generate a secure live-view link for people outside the platform. Set validity period, optional email verification, and authorized email restrictions. Share via link, QR code, or email.
