FlytBase Integrates with Senhive: Counter-Drone Detection & Response

FlytBase now enables real-time intruder drone detection and lets operators quickly dispatch response drones directly from the same dashboard, reducing response time and improving site security.

Counter-drone response is about protecting your site. When an unauthorised aircraft enters your airspace, the faster you can get eyes on the intruder's location, the more likely you are to identify who's operating it and why.

Detect and Avoid (DAA) sensors give you real-time awareness of unauthorized aircraft in your airspace — coordinates, altitude, even the estimated position of the person flying it. But that information lives in one dashboard. Your response fleet lives in another. Acting on a detection means toggling between systems, manually copying coordinates from the sensor interface, relaying them to a drone operator (or switching roles yourself), and then that operator has to locate the right spot on a separate map and set up a response flight. Every step in that handoff adds delay. For a security breach in progress, the intruder may already be gone by the time your response drone arrives.

FlytBase now integrates with Senhive DAA sensors, bringing detection data directly into your operational dashboard — the first step in building counter-drone response capabilities into the platform. When a Senhive sensor detects an intruder, the intruder drone and its RC location appear on your map in real time, right alongside your own fleet. No system switching, no manual coordinate transfer, no second operator trying to find a location on a different map. You evaluate the threat and dispatch from the same screen.

How It Works During Operations

Detection is active on the home page during operations. When a Senhive sensor detects an intruder, two things happen simultaneously: markers appear on your map, and entries appear in your right-side Flinks panel under the SENHIVE section.

What You See on the Map

Each detection places two markers on your map:

Intruder Drone — An orange drone icon (distinct from your fleet's icons) showing the detected aircraft's position. A label displays "UAV Intruder" with the intruder's altitude.

Dispatching a Response Drone

When a detection warrants response, you can send your fleet's drone to the intruder RC's location from the map or from the Flinks panel.

From the Map

Step 1: Hover over the intruder drone or RC marker on the map

Step 2: Click 'Go to RC' in the popup. The Go To Location panel opens on the left with the intruder RC's coordinates pre-filled.

Step 3: Verify the safe altitude, task altitude, and waypoint altitude, then dispatch.

The Senhive flinks panel now displays all active intruder drone and RC detections in one place, allowing operators to view detailed drone information such as ICAO, altitude, distance, and precise RC coordinates directly from the dashboard.

Click 'Go to RC Pilot' to open the Go To Location flow with the RC coordinates pre-filled. The same altitude verification and dispatch flow applies.

Operational Notes

Hover to inspect, click to dispatch: Hovering on a marker shows you the details and gives you the "Go to RC" action. If you want to review the ICAO number or share coordinates with a ground team before dispatching, the hover popup is where you do that.

Ground team coordination: When you hover on a marker and copy the location, it generates a Google Maps link. Share this directly with ground personnel via any messaging channel so they can navigate to the intruder RC's estimated location independently.

Detection persistence: Markers remain on your map as long as the Senhive sensor is actively tracking the intruder. When the sensor stops sending data for a particular detection (the intruder drone has left the area or landed), the corresponding markers are automatically removed.

Detection accuracy depends on your sensor deployment: FlytBase displays Senhive data as received. The precision of intruder drone and RC positions reflects your sensor's capabilities, placement, and environmental conditions.

Before You Start

Activation of the Senhive integration is required. Please reach out to your designated Solutions Engineering team at FlytBaseto enable the Senhive Flink for your deployment.

To complete the integration, obtain the Virtual Host, Username, and Password for your Senhive service, along with the hardware serial number of each DAA sensor you plan to connect to FlytBase. Senhive provides these details during sensor setup.

Hardware compatibility: This integration works with DJI docks (Dock 1, Dock 2, Dock 3) and non-DJI docks. Counter-drone response is a platform-level capability, not limited to any specific dock hardware.

Setting Up the Senhive Integration

Once the Senhive Flink is enabled for your account, it appears in your Flinks Library under the Detect & Avoid (DAA) category.

Step 1: Configure your Senhive connection

Open the Senhive Flink from My Flinks, enter the Virtual Host, Username, and Password in the Configuration tab, and click Update Configuration to connect.

Step 2: Add your Senhive sensors

Go to the Devices tab, click on Add Device, and enter a name and the hardware serial number for each Senhive sensor.

Once the device is live, click View on Map on the device card to verify that the sensor’s location is accurately displayed on the map.

Once configured, the Senhive Flink becomes available in the right-side Flinks panel during operations, enabling real-time intruder detections to be viewed and acted upon directly from the dashboard.
